Ok, the idea is to post your best times on Grand Turismo 3, with a S2000, any/all mods are allowed, the Spoon S2000 is allowed (is low on HP, but can carve a corner like no other), and the track is Laguna Secca. That is the most fun track to run/tune in the game IMO. I hope there are a number of members willing to participate, I play one mean game of GT3. Well I'm off to go play and post one hell of a time:P

I have a friend that thinks he is the best at this game. No he really thinks that there is no other person in the world better than him. He is usually a very humble guy and doesn't brag about a thing, but not about Gran Turismo. Watch out!!!

So far, my fastest time at Laguna Seca Raceway is 1'23.016 with my turbocharged S2000 Type V. This car is fast as hell, but handles like a piece of crap, even with tweaked settings. I'll keep trying to improve on my times.

Ok, I just raped my previous lap record at Laguna Seca Raceway with a 1'19.210 (this happened about 5 minutes after I posted). I was using the same car, my turbocharged S2000 Type V. I don't quite remember the exact time, but I recall running a very similar lap time with my S2000 LM Race Car a few weeks ago (around the 1'19.xxx range). I'll keep you guys updated on my times.

Great time!, After I wrote the post last night, i ran a 1:19:430, there is still room for inprovement, i too was using the S2000 Type V/TC. IMO i think i can get a 1:17/1:18 if i can put all the corner together with no error, i will be back at it again today after i auto-x

Nice time! To get the Mugen S2000, you have to win the Type-R meet in the Amateur Division. When you win the series race, you'll get one of those roulette-type random selections with 4 cars. The four cars will be: Honda NSX-R, Honda S2000, Spoon Sports S2000, or Mugen S2000. If you really want to get the Mugen S2000, I suggest saving the series right before the last race. That way, if you pick the wrong car, you can just load the game back up and only win one race, so you can try your luck again. BTW, the Mugen S2000 is badass. I don't know if it comes in different colors, but mine is yellow with a Mugen body kit, Mugen rims and carbon fiber hood. It's just about as fast as the Spoon S2000 (not Spoon race car).

I am in ... so far my best time at Laguna Seca with the 094 F1 is 1 minute flat, aiming at sub 1-minute these days. I would like to try with an S2k.

the Spoon is faster than the Mugen.

no, really, it is.

i've gotten the former down to 1:19:274. i could be much faster, if only the car didn't understeer so gosh darn much!

a real contest would be with a bone-stock S2000 non-V. of course, break it in and get an oil change, but no mods, not even tires! let's see how good we really are.

and no cutting corners!
