If the dealer ordered the wrong part then they'd have to deal with unloading a $130 key, not you.
Ok, I know I can return the key. But why the hell is Honda listing it as a part for MY03?? They don't list it for MY00-02. Just MY03 as far as AP1 is concerned. This key shows up on any North American dealers part list for an MY03. Is this a mistake from Honda?
I don't know. If you search for parts by VIN, does it come up?

Yeah, it does.

Do you have a high-security valet key or standard chip key?

The speciality key is high-security and can ONLY be used in this type of door/ignition.

The dealership will use you VIN to get the key code. then give it to a key vendor who will cut it. Youll need to use a bigger name company for the key cut/program if you are infact using a high srcurity key.

I use Hi-Tech national quite often.

Good luck.

I have a regular grooved valet key. Similar to the one labeled 6 on the diagram. I actually went to the dealership yesterday and bought a master grooved key from them (part # 35113-S84-A02). Had it cut and programmed. I'm looking into returning the special S2000 key
