Question oops :) Ac question

For some reason my s2k usually gets fogged up whenever its rainy and damp outside so I have to turn the deforster on which turns the AC on and then I usually turn back to the heater. Well I did the usual routine but this time I accidentally left the AC on when i changed it back to the heater was blowing.

It was about 4minutes long, heater knob turned to the right about 70% and the fan power was on the second power light.

So did I damage anything by having the AC and the heater on? It still breathes super cold air and the heater is hot of course when I tested but i am always paranoid Will remember not to do this again!!

you're kidding right?

If not.....um, well, you didn't break anything. AC and heater can be run together all day if you want to. The reason the AC comes on with defrost is because it dehumidifies the air. In the winter time this comes in very handy and clears out the cabin of fog and frost very quickly.

There a way to disable the automatic AC with defrost feature if you want. Just look in the faq's for the post.

no lol I wasn't sure how delicate or senstive our s2k AC was. Whew thanks man

Also my Twin Turbo had the deforster work no pron clearing out fogginess without the AC on. The s2k has to work with the AC on. I just hate using the AC "

You did not hurt anything. A few years ago any vehicle with ac had the ac cycle when the defrost was on to help clear moisture from the interior, especially the windows. It is actually a good idea to run the ac frequently during the colder months to keep the compressor bearings lubricated, plus to clear any moisture out of the ventilation system and prevent the mildewy smell.
