I love this car. I love this car with the top down. My wife (with short, fine hair) does not love the top down. It's almost funny to watch her holding her hair as I drive!

She doesn't want to wear a hat because it gives her "hat head".

She won't let it alone to comb it at our destination because she says it tangles.

She rides with her window up, and I've already installed Rick's 7/8 windscreen (an improvement!).

Her hair is too short for a hairclip.

Does anyone have any serious suggestions that might be of use? (other than "get a new girl" and other dumb quips!)

David

Nope, you got a problem.
Windows up helps, but not much. Windscreen was the biggest improvement.
Tell your girlfriend how good she looks in the car and not to worry about the hair cuz as soon as she gets out no one will be looking anymore. Sorry couldn't resist the shot.

yeup! either she's a convertible chick or a not-so-convertible chick. even with the former, there are times we - as guys - are considerate and leave the top up for special nights out - but as springtime is here, those evenings are rare and few - hence the single status I currently wear. <g>

Elistan and I commented on this last night as we noticed a C5 with the top up - and then noticed the woman getting out of the passenger seat.

My wife has the exact same 'issue' ... she's mostly over it now ... but every once in a while ...

Anyway, we're looking for a 'driving scarf' for her

Just this evening I saw an older woman in a Miata... with the top down and a wide brimmed hat. Could not understand how the hat stayed on until I passed her and noticed the strap under her chin...

Just ask her to carry a brush and some gel.

I have always carried one of my wife's scarf in the glove box of all my convertibles including this one! Works great!

Have her put the seat forward a few notches and recline the seat as far as is comfortable.

My girlfriend always just ties her hair in a ponytail when she knows I'm going to have the top down.
