Opening door if car is jacked up
On some older cars, really older cars, the chassis could be so mushy that if one side of car was jacked up, opening door could cause problems, allowing chassis to flex more. Door might not close again until car was level again.
This isn't a problem with modern cars, and certainly not with a car with as stiff a chassis as the S.

FWIW I would open the doors on my NB Miata without issue and that chassis is a floppy noodle compared with the S. Yes the door would seem to drag a bit but everything returned to normal when the car was back down on the ground.
You can definitely tell when the car is on jacks from the feel and sound of the doors being closed, so some flex occurs. Not an issue, but I always recommend people to unlatch their hardtops any time they lift the vehicle on jacks and jackstands as the body does flex and it can throw the hardtop out of adjustment a tiny bit.
