I'm looking to buy an s2k, currently have a kouki and need a new toy. What year is the best for the s2k, and what is a good price range I should be considering?

Don't worry about model year. Just get the best condition one that you can afford. Anything in the $10k to MSRP range should work.

Not trying to start a debate or arguement, just want some honest professional opinions =]. I do alot of research and have discussions left and right before I make a decision.

You should get a 2008, because it's the last year that they're going to make the S2000.

You should get a 2003, because it's the last year of the real "S2000". After that, it was really an S2200.

Depends on how raw of a car you want (driving-wise).

The less raw you like, the newer you should get.

I would say 02-03 if you want an AP1 because of the revisions to the ECU, Glass window, interior changes.

04-05 if you want the newer look, more torque (sort of?), suspension changes, more minor revisions, but dislike DBW.

06+ if you dont care about the details.

You should get an 05 because AP2 FTW & DBW FTL.
