Well I'm in the middle of removing the orange reflectors and it certainly hasn't been a picnic. The bumper and inner fender were easy enough and disconnecting the light was no problem. Trying to separate the lens from the housing is something I never want to try again. I thought about leaving one side orange and one clear for awhile but obviously that would be pretty stupid. If there is anyone out there who developed a way to heat the glue and pull off the housing, please let me know. When I was done with the driver's side and tried to put the housing back on it was pretty deformed. Despite constant heating and holding it doesn't look very good and I had to use a lot of silicon to make it water tight. This is not something I can recommend and I am not looking forward to doing the other one.

Thanks for the advice. I was planning to do the same but now, you convince to leave like that. By the way, why is it deformed?

You need to heat the glue and try to pull off the housing. You do a lot of pulling and pushing so when the glue dries the lips of the housing are pretty deformed and get hard.

You need a "heat gun" not a blow dryer to heat. It has to be REALLY hot!
