I dropped the car off this morning for the 15k service with no plans to purchase the HT.

I went in about an hour ago to pick up the car and ran into my sales rep. We started to discuss the HT and costs....well 30 minutes later I found my self taking out my check-book and writing the check for the HT. I kept thinking....do I need to do this...do I need to this...

Well guess what, I ended up writing the check and paying for the HT. I knew I wanted to get one sometime this year, but was just too skeptical.

My biggest decision factor was the price. I paid $2940.35 for HT, HT install kit, and installation. I think this was a pretty good deal, considering some of the other prices I heard off and seen.

The HT will arrive within the next 60 - 90 days. Bummer, even though spring/summer is just arround the corner (hopefully, considering the Chicago weather), I am simply very exited.

Anyhow, just thought I'd share this exiting news with everyone. FK

 

I know we will all look forward to your evaluation of the hardtop.

I'd be very curious to hear about wind noise, rattles etc.

 

I have a black/black S2000. I am strongly thinking of tinting the rear window once the HT arrives....

IMO, I think the tint will look sharp with the black body and will also hide the giant rear window, a bit.

SCS2K - I will absolutely post pics and reviews of sound, rattles, if any - hopefully there will not be any for this amount, etc...

The wait is killing me and it has only been a few hours since I ordered it...

I only waited 3 weeks to get my stook last year, but I ordered my hardtop in October and it won't arrive until the first week of April At least I know it's on a ship on the way... Hope the ship doesn't perish like that one off the coast of Japan carrying other Hondas

 

I just got my hardtop and plan to install it this weekend. I'll let you know how it goes.

I got my hardtop installed last tuesday. The dropped top season is just starting so I'll take it of this weekend. Now people really don't recognise this car. I've only seen one in the wild so far. Even more strange reactions than before. I'll post pictures this weekend.
