Default Original 2001 OEM CD Multi-changer

I responded to someone's wanted advert, as I have one in the back of my car which to my knowledge has never been used.

It's complete with mounting cage and OEM silverstone soft cover. Of course the guy's asked me how much I want for it... Bear in mind this is Europe (potential buyer is in UK). I've no idea what I should be asking for it, any suggestions?

PS Mods, PLEASE don't move this to the audio section, for obvious reasons (current sale) I'd appreciate multiple responses asap, I'm NOT trying to sell it in the forum, the 'wanted' ad poster is a full member, and I will be soon, I'm just trying to get an idea of value. Thanks.

If its brand new complete with the harness and such i would say around $100, reasoning being is because in the US we can get an headunit that plays mp3s, for around that price. On a single cd you can fit about 150 mp3s.

Well, I can't say it's brand new, it's in a 2001 car. Also, I don't think anyone would buy a CD changer to actually use it, I would guess they are restoring the car (especially since the guy who placed the advert is looking for an original head unit as well).

So assuming it's second hand good condition, any further suggestions?

Thanks, that'll do. I'll ask for $60.

I'd just get the aux in plug that goes to the HU and connect an Ipod. Take less space and more flexibility.

Yeh, I have to say I'm mystified why the guy wants it, but I've got one to spare, so... <shrugs>

My 2004 unit broke about a year ago. I am surprised it still works being that old. I put in an IPOD adapter and will never consider anything else. I am also happy to have the trunk space back.

It probably isn't worth much.
