Original manuals
I was literally standing there at the pump, with my phone in hand, googling how to get the damn thing open. It didn't help that it was my first drive in the car taking the 200+ mile drive home from the dealership, and I was somewhere I was completely unfamiliar.
My first fillup was late-Sep/early-Oct '99, and I may as well have been the only person in the country who owned an S2000 -- I still hadn't even seen any others on the street! So not only did I look like an idiot searching all over the interior, I got interrupted at least twice by people coming up to me complimenting me on the car and asking questions! I tried to keep it cool, then casually glance at my watch and give 'em the old "anyway, gee, I better get going", then wait for them to turn their back so I could furiously dive back in and dig out the owner's manual...
Haha I had done so much research for over a year and watched so many YouTube videos that I already knew about the fuel door release location. I test drove 3 cars in my time searching and each time the sales guy was amazed at the location and that I knew where it was - one was the owner of a little place in Summerfield NC running a used dealership for exotics. He went to fill up at the gas station and had the hardest time trying to figure it out too.
