Default Our horn????

I've read a lot of comments on how whimpy the horn is. I think it fits well with our car. I saw where someone has an AAHH-OOOOOO-GAA horn installed in their S. To me, that would be fine for a Hummer, but our S seems fine with its horn. Opinions????

I Agree Dario.

Japanese cars have a long tradition of having wimpy horns.
My '98 Supra Turbo, a lot bigger, nearly 700 pounds heavier had the same dinky horn, never bothered me. I really think that it suits their personality.

Cheers,

Daniel

My friend has a horn that looks like a chrome turbo snail in a way, but it sounds like a Ferrari horn. Haven't heard it, but it should be cool. I don't use the horn very often so even if it sounds wimpy, those few times will not really matter to me.

wimpy horms fit wimpy cars and not ours, imo!
i have dual hella air horns-
they fit the way you would expect a horn to sound from our car...
and if i have to use it, it clears the area around my car nicely!

I'm in the process of installing Hella dual airhorns. I hate the stock horns, they sound so lame.

I highly recommend the Hella Super Tones.

they are not air horns... they are standard disc style?

they are LOUD! they are like the stock horn except 26 perhaps 27 S2000s honking at once.

Man they are fun, not only have they saved me a few times... If someone is sitting at a light not paying attention they have the neat effect of scaring the shit out of the person. I love watching them jump, hit the roof, and then slam on the gas.

I don't know who's god you are, but mine wouldn't do such a thing.

I initially switched my stock horns for FIAMM dual trumpet airhorns. Great for getting those SUV's who can't see you to move out of 'your' lane. Works on Cabbies too. They scare people sometimes, and you might even get the occasional finger.

I now have Hella Supertones. They fit the personality of the car better. IMO. And they are loud.

I opened this thread and then realized that after 11K miles I have yet to use my horn.

Either I'm mild mannered, or I'm just too dang fast to worry about it!

I didn't worry about our stock horn until I was almost an S2000 sandwich between a Viper and a BIG semi truck.

I have installed a triple Fiamm air horn and it sounds very European. Did I mention that it's also very loud? The trucks can now hear me.
