Default Our windshield is a bug magnet

It seems that everytime I clean my front windshield, these G.D. bugs like to slam into the windshield and making annoying marks. does anyone else have this probleM?

oh yeah and at night time, the bugs are attracted to the bright HID's and like to smash into the headlight itself and of course the front bumper.

you'd be surprised. like if im going 40 mph, you can see the bug flying across, stop and fly towards the headlight.

about the windshield problem, i rarely have bugs hit my windshield in my accord. i dont know why.

I live in Tennessee and in the summer, it's splatter city. After a long drive the front of my car looks like it's be drenched with a bucket of ecto plasm.

Same thing happens to me on a weekly basis. It sucks bad.

The deal with the windshield vs. the Accord(since we both have the same cars) IMO is simply the fact that the S2K's is much lower. That's the only thing I can come up with. I can vouch also for the fact that they never seem to strike the Accord as much as they do the S2K. I truly think the HID's go a LONG way in attracting bugs. Then again...maybe they just have good taste in cars.

I think part of the reason is because our windshields are more verticle than most of the other cars on the road. Correct me if I'm wrong.

I think it has more to do with the front end of the car.

On other cars the bugs either go under the car or are splattered on the relative square frontal area of the car.

On the S2000 the bugs that are not captured by the fairly small grill area, are channeled up over the streamlined hood, and are splattered on the window.

I have to clean the front winshield as much as two or three times a day.

The windshield's angle is closer to 90 degrees than most cars. This was done to create a pillar in case of roll over.
