Our windshield is a bug magnet
I feel your pain, Razor.
I take R.7 home every night, and lemme tell ya, my windshield looks like $hit by the time I got home, every day, and I cant just leave it like that too, 'cause tomorrow it'll look like $hit x 2. I can see bugs flying right in to the headlight. I got anoyed to the point where I even try to drive slow behind big truck or SUV, so that would help me a bit, but some still find their way through. I got a big one yesterday, It's a dry blood spot the size of a thump on the front bumper, just to the left of the licence plate, I have no idea what kind of bug was it!!!
I can only clean the windshield, though. I have to leave the bumper till the next wash, 'cause I don't wanna scratch the paint with all kinds of dirt that are on there. It $ucks around here, I agree.

You should try driving along Lake Erie during Mayfly mating season! They get so thick on the ground that they look like snow! They don't much look like snow on the bumper and windshield though.
I've lived on the east coast all of my life (MD & PA). I've never had a car that didn't attract bugs
I've had Hondas, Toyotas, Mini & full-sized vans, station wagons . . . . . There doesn't seem to be more or less bugs on the S than on any of the other cars I've had (though I can tell there are some bugs who seem to like hot cars).
The evenings are always worse than any other time of day but they splatter no matter what. I always carry Mothers bug wipes & some water to wash it off (& a micro towel to dry it) on any long trip.
Someone should invent some sort of moving force field to keep them off!

I once worked at a full service gas station, remember those, in the middle of the desert, graveyard shift. I had to clean windshields all night long. Not only were the bugs plentiful, they were baked on the windshields from the dry heat. This was before they invented the squeege/sponge with the handle on it. I had a little scratcher sponge, a truly horrible job. I ain't that old, just started working young. :-)
Get a Jeep Wrangler if you want to see a bug and rock magnet. The S is nothing compared to the Jeep.
