Default Out of Warranty TSB's

What are my chances of getting a TSB done if my S2K is out of warranty?

Anyone in the Honda service world out there? I just want to know how hard I should push this when the TSB says out of warranty work can be done, but it is up to the district manager.

Thanks...

This is an interesting question that I'd liketo know the answer to also. It'll affect my decision to buy an extended warranty or not.

I don't remember seeing any type of mileage restrictions on the TSBs. Your mileage may vary.

TSBs are NOT mileage dependant... they are requirements for EACH unit. Go get them done... it's free, and they cannot decline it.

Hell, a quick tidbit... did you know Honda/Acura warranty their seltbelts for the life of the car? I took my `88 Prelude Si up to Honda back in `99 when I had it. Was having probs with the belts... replaced both belts and retractors. The bills was going to be $500(something)... I paid with a smile, and they were SUPER nice.

Are you sure that they did not have a safety recall on the seatbelts?

If you read the TSBs carefully, there is a footnote that says that cars out of warranty will be considered for the fix. This probably means that it will be a case by case thing and that the decision will be a function of among other things mileage.

I just want to let everyone know that I have called Honda America and opened up a case number. I explained to them that the dealer just isn't being proactive in getting me the information I need.

Has anyone had any dealings with AHM customer service? Good or Bad I am interested in any help as how to deal with them.

I am documenting my steps for fellow board members who may come accross this issue in the future.

Thanks...
