over-rev at Summit Point with S2000- had temp tags too!!!! :(
he didn't seem to happy so I didn't talk to him..... he had Kuhmo's on.... hopefully he was smart enough to haul the car to his house first, then to the dealer......
Maybe he can reference the manual and claim that it did not tell him to do that.

---- o ya... if the guy who did it is on this board let us know what Honda says.

Fifth to second huh.... well, ones at the bottom of the shift pattern and the other at the top so i assume he didn't over rev it and the action was a deliberate one. What happen? Broken rear diff/axle? Thnx,

that sucks, almost did the same thing when I first got the s2000. downshifted and noticed the engine revving up faster than it should. decided to roast the clutch rather than let it out and over-rev.
I checked the owner's manual and didn't find anything telling me not to shift from 5th to 2nd at high speeds other than a "vague reference to make sure the engine will not go into the tachometer's red zone". I looked for a table in the owner's manual that I could refer to when downshifting from 100 MPH at the track but found none, so it must be Honda's fault.

Poor Guy.
