If I was you, you should at least make sure the engine is holding compression.
This happened to me a long a$$ time ago when I had an AP1. Two weeks later the car was struggling to go 40
Then all my mods voided my warranty... I wanted to beat my friends a$$ too. I made him pay half of 2g instead tho...

Your valvetrain is probably damaged. Piston tops might be too. At the very least pull the head and inspect the aftermath.
After the first mis-shift overrev your friend tries it again and misses for a second time? That's funny, but what's more funny is when you tell him to pay for it.

Yeah, I never let my friends drive my cars, and if I ever did I certainly wouldn't let them race someone. Call me selfish, but I'd rather be a selfish person with a working valvetrain than the cool friend out of a couple grand to replace parts I didn't break.
