Default over reved from 3rd to 2nd

Hey guys, i have an Ap1 2001, i went from 3rd all the wayy to 9k and accidentally went to 2nd gear. keep in mind i released the clutch all the way and then tried to throw it back in. The car started to boggle and make a ticking sound and the car died. Tried to start it and it doesnt start towing it to my nearest honda dealership? anybody know what the cost of fixing this at honda dealership?

Tow it - don't run it until you get a tech to look at it. Do a search on Billman250's cracked retainer threads.

I would just buy a used motor and have someone you trust put it in. That motor is a goner. Money shift FTL.

I did the same thing several yrs back in my DSM. My friends will forever give me crap for it too. As others have said I'd either just throw something in there or get something that will be ready for boost. Good luck...I ended up selling mine for nothing
