I did this EXACT same thing and had the exact same outcome. It was cheaper for me to buy a new engine than to fix the current one. I had mine towed to a trusted mechanic that works from his home. This happened early February and I've still yet to get it fixed. I had an engine lined up locally, but he ended up backing out after leading me on forever, and now I've gone through a nightmare trying to find a good engine to replace it with. After searching for weeks and weeks and Carfaxing 3 mileage fraud engines, I've finally found one. I'm ordering it on Monday.

Sounds like a nightmare because it is. Good luck with your purchase of a new engine. If you're looking for a warranty it'll be easier to have a shop/dealership put it on for you. I've been searching so long because I'm having my mechanic do it for much cheaper and most warranties require some sort of certified mechanic.

If you need help finding one, PM me. I've been looking for ~3 weeks straight, so I could help you find one.

(My mechanic has rebuilt ~10 salvage S2000's so I'm really lucky)

Sorry about your motor.

After you get it fixed, be sure to shift into 4th with your hand facing outwards towards the passenger side of your car:

I suggest a lot of you get used to this.

Also, some AP2 retainers in your new motor would be a good idea.

How are you carfaxing an engine? The engine serial number doesn't always match the car's vin.

Hey honda just replied back and they said that i blew a cyclinder and there going to try and resurface the header for 3600 and then ill be geting new parts as in the rods, chain, rockers, and etc. pretty much everything new from the top up of the head. and if they cant resurface the head then there going to charge me 3,000 more for a brand new head. lol which will turn out to be 6600 lol.
