yeah, i overloaded it. i took a friend for a ride, and combined, we are 475lbs, 75 lbs more then the rated load for the car. wtf? 400lbs? that is super retarded... anyone know why they rated it so low?? not like we are going to break the car in half or anything, well, i hope not at least

Its rated low because the engine has no torque.

 

I have always wondered why it was so low as well. I have exceeded the limit a number of times as I am 240Lbs any one over 160 kills it!

I used to own an '03 GSX-R 1000 that would hold more weight. I believe it was 440 lbs.

You're not supposed to drive the S2000 around with a dude in the passenger seat. A 200lbs man + one Female 130lbs-ish + 50lbs of luggage, for that overnight weekend, and you're still under 400.

You think its low in an S2000? Look at the load capacities for some trucks - still 400lb!
