Override the idiot light

Default Override the idiot light

does anyone know how to override the "Maintenance Req'd" idiot light? I brought mine in for the 30K maintenance before the odom hit 30K, so now the light is on.

help, anyone?

While the car is off, hold down the trip select button as you turn the ignition switch on. Continue holding for about 5 more seconds. The light will turn off.

I am not sure if it works, as i havent tried it yet, but with a great deal of domestics and some imports, simply disconnecting your battery for 5-10 minutes, and then re-connecting will sometimes get rid of it. The computer just sort-of "re-sets"

I dont think resetting the ECU works on the maintenance light, you have to do what frycow said.

hold the trip and the button next to it while turned off and turn it on and hold onto it for awhile and yes about the bra

there is clear and there is black
