Oversized Fins
I really think all you need is tires and rims as far as improving looks go, I am not a big fan of the huge oversized fins that some people put on their stooks. I think its cheezy but thats just me, I guess whatever floats their boats.
The car is enough of an eye catcher as it is, over doing it just degrades the looks.
Cars w/ those oversized fins look good on.....
Supra (last/latest gen)
Ferrari F40
Euro kit fin for Porsche 911/996
Cars that don't...
Civic
CRX
Eclipse
Galant
Accord
S2000
Trans Am
Camarro
Mustang
Camry
Corrolla
Sunfire
Grand Am
Jetta
Golf
Ford Focus
Dodge Neon
Cutlass Supreme
any Chrysler, Buick or Olds

That's a Caddy of course but there are Virgil ExExner's Chryslers of the late 50's and early 60's like this '57 300C

You wouldn't happen to mean wings or decklid spoilers by any chance, would you?
Thanks for the advice!
Mugen released a document on their studies of the S2000, among one of the things stated was that the rear end of the car needed more down force. Mugen has a very conservative spoiler which looks nice, however it only functions with the Mugen hard top, or lesser with the soft top up.. To get more down force on the rear end otherwise you're going to have to go with an under body diffuser or a wing.

Let me guess you have an oversized fin?
Yeah but you never go that fast enough times a day to really justify the cost of one of those things - just to keep the back end down?
I like Mugen's, that one is fine, but come on man, a freakin' oversized fin?
I think The Fast and the Furious may have endorsed the fin.

S2K_Dallas, perhaps you weren't aware what cjb80 is working on his S2000. He is reworking on the engine to maximize his turbo kit.
He would need all the help with downforce when he is finished.
He is determined to make his S2000 go, let's say very very fast.

Hey... I'm getting an "oversized fin". I think it looks tight with the right body kit. True, we don't drive fast enough on a regular basis to justify the big wing, but in my eyes, it makes a hooked up car look better. Call it rice or whatever, but I say it looks nice. Just my opinion....
Man, I think F&F really ruined it for a lot of us.... Those GT wings were just starting to get hot, then it was on all the cars in that movie. Now people look negatively on you if your car looks remotely like the ones in that movie. The other day, I heard someone say, "look, the car from The Fast and The Furious..."

if by "fin" you are talking a rear spoiler or wing i think i am going to have to disagree. personally, i like the look of them, but that is just a matter of preference. my disagreement however revolves around your statement of actual speed. one of my closest friends has a turbo miata with about 250 horses to the wheels. the dam thing flies. as smooth as it was prior to the installation of a rear wing, it gained much more stability at speeds above 60 mph. i mean noticably different. so if your opinion is based upon looks, thats fine, to each their own, but if your are questioning the actual functionality of these parts, i ask you to try before you base judgement.
An Indy Race Car fin on a miata, hhhmmmm that would look good? Maybe if you just drove it on the track and not as your everyday car. Thats gotta be embarrasing, how does he live with himself?
