The overstuffed S2000
Yea! Get a trailer.
I was amazed to find, many years back, that my British Humber Super Snipe [made by the same people who made the Tiger], actually handled better with the fully enclosed trailer with my F2 Brabham in it, hooked on the back, than it did au naturel.

My girlfriend and I each packed a 21-22" carry-on, plus a full day-backpack into the trunk of the S without busting the hinges for a 10-day trip last month. Just be willing to do a little laundry into your trip and you can pack light and smart. Check out Tilley Endurables for men's and women's clothing and underwear that packs small, is lightweight, washable and dries overnight. Tilley.com. Learn one bag packing tips from Onebag.com. Don't over-stuff, you'll be glad that you didn't.
That Boot-Bag is nice.
I have the Classic Carrier trunk rack, but it's no longer available (although you could email the manufacturer if they plan to make more). I do believe the Surco trunk rack is still available; http://www.autoanything.com/roof-racks/60A3471A0A0.aspx has a review from earlier this month. Both are fully removable.
I used the rack many times for all kinds of camping, and still use it to carry my skis around. I'm sure it would carry my bike, but I just put that in the passenger space (seat removed), so I never tried.

Lots or replies, thanks, cannot answer them all and why does Multiquote not work right?
Got one trailer, 4x8 utility but open, wife might not like yet another in the back yard, and might be overkill for this application.
I wonder how many people read "Humber Super Snipe" and figured you were making that name up?

(A) With the top up, you can stuff a ton of soft and small items into the trunk well.
(B) You can add a hitch ($400 or so)
(C)You can add a trunk rack - https://www.s2ki.com/s2000/topic/599...-rack-for-s2k/

(B) Possible, but for a cargo platform only, might really affect handling
(C) Perfect but they cite two racks: one the link didn't work, the other someone said "not made for S2000 any more"
I've been looking at the "Boot-Bag." http://boot-bag.com/
The boot bag reminds me of a couple of years we did the ghetto approach of going to the beach in my 1992 Toyota shortbed pickup, luggage wrapped in trash bags and strapped down in the bed.
I do know how to pack light and I'd personally just do without anything that does not fit.
Previous trips you would have had trouble finding room in the trunk of the S2000 for a pack of cards when I was done getting my wife's stuff jammed in.
Depends on what you're trying to take with you. My wife and I have done several 2 week, multi-thousand mile road trips in the S. Granted, we typically end up doing laundry a couple of times, have to remove the tool kit, stuff some things above the spare, in the passenger footwell, etc.
I've never used it. If I want to multiquote I'll quote each message separately, typing out my reply and cutting and pasting into my first reply (and cancelling any reply other than the first). Not every forum site offers the feature.
I haven't really looked into it myself but the recommendation seems to be to keep the tongue weight low when using a hitch with the S.
