well what s4 are you getting?? b7 b8 b9?? the twin turbo v6s are nice and so are the v8s... if your looking in the same range as an s2000 prolly the b9 is not the one your looking at... the s4 in my opinion looks too outdated and i don't like that it looks like a regular a4 with subtle differences... my buddy has a stage 3 s4 a b7 i think it is which is the twin turbo v6 with the td04 upgrades and it is fastttt.... but my friend with his s2000 turbo'ed is a whole different feeling...

for me personally i'd go with a s2000 with a beater

more and more s2000s are popping up now and are becoming more affordable for most people so its really up to you... i know a couple of people with s2000s and a couple of people with s4s.... why don't you look into an s60r. i got one of them and they're really nice haha 350hp 350lbs of tq. sounds like a beast if you put a straight pipe on it haha.. i dunno but im not a big fan of audis and vws... i'm more of a bmw guy when it comes to german cars

10 year old thread bump, really? This statement made me laugh though.

Depends on which S4 you are talking about. I've driven a B6 S4 Cabriolet extensively and it was a wonderful car. The factory exhaust note was awesome and despite its relative heft, it handled fairly well. With the top up, it had more than enough trunk space as well as back seats that were passable for short journeys. That being said, it wasn't nearly as exciting to drive as my S is and I would be concerned about reliability, so my ultimate choice would most likely be the S2000.

We have an RS4 and an S2000. I still prefer the S2000.
