Redlights, or anything you have to look up at (as mentioned before), can be a pain with the top or hardtop on. You will just have to drive an S2000 around in many different scenarios to figure it out. I have a brother-in-law who is slightly taller but fits better than I do.
Compared to an FD ... get the S2000 (no comparison) if you plan to drive a lot. If its a 2nd or 3rd car and plan to mod, I would lean towards an FD (person pref).
Unless you have a desire to own an FD (like I do), I think the S2000 is still the better choice, even if you plan to mod

I'm 6'1" 200lbs (medium build, broad shoulders) and most my height comes from my legs. I have to slide the seat back as far as it will go, then I have to adjust/lean seat back. With my late '05 AP2, I couldn't fit in the car with a helmet unless the top was down. With the CR, I don't have to lean my head to the side, but the helmet still touches. If I were any taller, I don't think I would fit the way I'm proportioned.

If the redlights seriously bothered you, you could try some lowered seat rails, or if it bothers you that you are so tall in the car. I was thinking about seat rails, but I really don't mind my car as it is right now. Like it might bother you for a couple of weeks or a month, but after that you will get used to the occasional leaning forward. Like its not a problem if you are the second car at the light or farther back, although of course tall cars block your view of the light as well

I too am 6'3" & about 215lbs Im really happy with the S2K after you get used to it it really is a very comfortable car IMO
I plan on doing the mod to lower the drivers seat a couple inches because if Im the first car in line at an intersection I usually have to hunch/lean down a bit to see the light
it isnt a big inconvenience but I will be happier once I dont have to do that anymore
Good luck with your decision
I too had two cars in mind when I bought my s2k and an FD rx7 was the other car...
Im positive I made the right decision

^ I learned to stick my foot sideways in between the gas and brake pedals and modulate that way. It sounds like it wouldn't work but just for reference's sake, that's how I won this years AutoX Championship for my region.
