Owning a S2000 in the Winter
Winter time is approaching and I was wondering just how warm is a S2000 in the Winter months? Is it drafty? I'm pretty sure that the inside of the car heats up quickly. Does the heat stay in the car pretty well? All this is assuming that the top is up. However, I would also like to know how warm does it stay in the car with the top down? So how cozy is it with the top up or down in the Winter?
first off do not even think about putting the top down if the temperature falls below 40 degrees as said in the manual.
second off, why would you have the top down under such cold temps in the first place? with the top up, the car heats up nicely if you were to cruise around town with it.
also, please get snow tires as countless #'s of s2ks have been wrecked due to poor judgement on the road.

Out of curiousity (I live in Miami, forgive my cold ignorance) what is the reason for not being able to drop the top under 40 degrees?

so this rule doesn't apply to the people with glass right?

Yes, it also applies to S2000's with a glass rear window... as all OEM S2000 convertible tops are made from polyvinyl chloride (PVC).
We're not talking about just the rear window. The whole top (black part) is plastic.
