Owning a S2000 in the Winter

first off do not even think about putting the top down if the temperature falls below 40 degrees as said in the manual.
second off, why would you have the top down under such cold temps in the first place? with the top up, the car heats up nicely if you were to cruise around town with it.
also, please get snow tires as countless #'s of s2ks have been wrecked due to poor judgement on the road.

So as you can see I'm really talking about low to mid 50's and maybe upper to mid 40's.
I do not own a S2000 yet. I will be buying one in the next 6-8 months.
So once again, does it retain the heat well with the top up? How does it do with the top down?
We "igloo" living guys who drive our cars all winter typically operate in temps as low as -20*C (that's -4*F for you guys). My first winter was without hardtop and the heater worked great with the top up. I doubt any of us drive top down at -20*C. It can get as cold as -38*C (no need to convert this one for you
). Even at this temp, the interior will heat up, but it takes a bit longer.
You fellas who worry if the heater will be enough top down in the 40s and 50s? You'be got to be kidding, right?

My top is up if it is below 50F during the day or below 55F after sunset. We are not so brave as you guys up north.
