Mine's been paid off for a while, but I think I spend more than my payment each month on goodies for it.

These are words of wisdom. You're used to living with the car payment. Make the payment into a savings account for a couple of years, and you'll have a nice emergency fund. Otherwise, it's all too easy to waste the extra money and have nothing to show for it after a couple of years.

I have 3 payments to go. Nice way to start out 2012.

Paid off with student loans...whats wrong with me? Paying 5.4k in student loans begins in 8 months. Well technically I used my money to buy the S, but that left no monies to live haha!

Congratulations, nothing beats driving a car that you actually own (other than the bank). I remember making car payments and it was a freaking nightmare. Financing/leasing also requires you to have full coverage so that adds up to your monthly payments. That was the good o'l days, I now buy my car in cash. My advice is to pretend that you are still making car payments (even for at least a year) and put that money in your savings.
