paint chips in 04 Wheel arch
I am curious to see if anyone that has an 04 has experienced paint/rock chips in the arch of the front wheels on the 04. I drove mine back from Dallas to LIttle Rock, Arkansas and have a bunch of them. It is just to the side of the protective liner around the inside of these. There is about an 1/8 inch exposed and that is where they are located.
First, what is the easiest way to repair?
Second, does anyone make a clear bra for this area to put on after repair?
Third, how long would a clear bra protect it afterwards?
Finally, is this a flaw in just the 04 & up?
Thanks,
GIXXER

I have an '00 w/ 44K miles on it that has the same issue; when I first purchased the car I didn't notice it. The dealership said to bring it in and they will get an estimate & likely paint it (7 year warranty for rust). Oh yes, rust has formed as a result of it, so get it taken care of if it doesn't have any rust yet, hope this helps.
I have a big chip on my 04 in the front well area. I wonder if the dealer would take care of it. This would be a great place for rust to start "growing", so you do not want to wait on fixing it. I will wait to see what others say.
