paint peeling
old problem, just wondering if the problem has been fixed with the my02?
the area of the front bumper and fender area, seems to be most noticable with all but the black, so far the only good reason i can think of to own blk....sorry cheap shot. lol.

Would love to know too. I have waited to get it fixed hoping that they really did a part change....someone mentioned a while ago that he got his replaced and the part is different....leaves a small gap so they don't rub. However, they didn't change the part number.
I was hoping the new part would be different, but I am worried about not having the paint match once they paint the new part.

didn't get the response i thought i would get.
this was one of the most talked about topics last year.
guess all have forgotten or given up worrying about it.
our spa yellow started peeling almost immediately, but never got much worse.
told our dealer to have it documented in the event of a fix later, now i also am more afraid of matching paint, so i just watch it

rjm, you can search for posts from JoeyOS2k and myself. We've posted quite a bit about paint peeling. I believe all new bumper covers that are being shipped today are the newer style. On my '01 I had the dealer install the "newer style" bumper but the paint still peeled around the light. Goodluck with yours.
