Default Painted Calipers today with G2 System (Blue)!

Today I painted my calipers with the G2 system. I painted them BLUE! It was quite easy, just a bit time consuming (about 3 hours from start to clean-up). Results look good and I am looking forward to pulling it back out of the garage to take a good look in the daylight. I didn't finish until after dark.

Thank you to those who recommended the G2 system! I recommend it so far! I took photos of the process, for those that might like me to email the photos. I think the blue calipers on the Silverstone body color looks good! More tomorrow...

I'm very curious to see what the blue looks like also! I used the red G2 system this evening and I must say the G2 system gets a for ease of use and simple directions. Two coats seem to do the trick as directed too! Here is a pic with the painter's tape still in place.

I can't say that it's better than masking tape but removal was VERY easy with no residue. Might be worth considering if anyone else tries this in the future.

It's dirty but ok for a quick after picture.

Glad to see I am not the only one that made a bit of a mess! I too got paint on the back of the pads, not to mention myself. Red looks good!

Was trying not to make a mess but at some point you just give up.

I guess it will be ok after the next set of brake pads are in place.

They don't look too bad from a short distance but that picture right up on them sure makes them stand out!

Look forward to seeing some pics. PM sent.

Photos sent.
You are correct, the system is very easy and user friendly. It is just very difficult not to overpaint! I tried not to get paint in the wrong places, but by the time the tape was removed, I found paint where I didn't even paint... "How the heck?" I thought two coats was enough as well.

I know you don't see it, but is the backside unpainted?

"Is the backside unpainted?"
Partially yes.

I did just finish with some solvent and a lint free cloth and was able to remove all the extra paint left in haste. It will come off but I would recommend taping the center off in the future. (thought I could keep it off)

I was able to easily paint all that you can see of the caliper, when the wheel is off, of which very little is viewable when the wheel is on.
I could have painted the backside of the caliper, had I made the effort. It would have involved me being under the car more than I would have liked, though.
