I have seen tons of pictures of S2000's (and other cars) with carbon fiber hoods (and trunks, etc, etc), but my personal reaction is that they look ugly because they don't match the rest of the car.

I understand the choice of CF as weight savings (although I don't think it makes much of a difference on the S2000.. the Al hood is really light), but why do people choose not to match it to the rest of the car? My guess is to show off the CF, but to me it wouldn't be worth it.

Anyway, I'm not trying to make any CF people mad, just trying to understand other peoples' motivations.
