Default Something about CF products

Im just wondering why you can buy a new CF hood for $400-500, but you get charged $400-600 for canards and $500-900+ for CF wings. Doesnt it seem a bit odd that the price of the product vs. the amount of materials involved dont equal out right between the products? I wouldnt have thought that CF canards and CF wings would be equal to or more than CF hoods.

People in this community like to waste money by paying for a name. Of all of the car communities I have come car across, s2000 owners are the worst. Sometimes the more expensive product is of better quality but most of the time it is not.

Just look at all of the hideous bodykits that people post in the Gallery Section. 90% of the kits out there destroy the sleekness of the car, but people put them on because of how glorified the "JDM" scene is. I guess that is my opinion, but I bet you that they would call the same kits crap if they were made by APC or Erebuni.

Pretty simple answer.... Demand is higher for hoods.. Production numbers and demand.

How many people you see with CF hoods? How many do you see with CF Canards?

EVERYTHING can be bought for cheaper if you just want the CF look. There are PLENTY of companies that sell replica parts for 1/3 the cost.

The stuff you are looking at is either overseas JDM parts that cost more due to logistics and the name.

You need to do more searches....because your comparing REPLICA hoods with AUTHENTIC canards and spoilers.

Compare AUTHENTIC hoods ($2000+) with AUTHENTIC canards and spoilers....then you will see the price is comparable.

Pay the cost to be the boss!!!!

They key is the replicas. The $400-$600 hoods are really fiberglass with a CF overlay. The ALL CF hoods are $2500-$3500. Brings the canards and wings pricing back in line, right?

BTW -- Seibon is now making a replica Mugen SS wing.

I like how some say that CF prices are going up because the aerospace industry is absorbing it all.......BS most hoods are made of fiberglass (that weighs the same as our stock hood, chips and cracks easilly, and has been known to seperate from its support frame at high speeds) with a CF overlay anyway so why are the prices going up? Stupd & rich s2k owners....

Edit ^ you guys beat me to it....
