Default Painting a HARDTOP

I have a RIO s2k and im planning on buying a used hardtop. I will get it painted black. I like black on yellow, and also its alot easier to sell if i decide to.

Now my question.... Should i get it painted Berlina Black? or just a standard gloss black? The used hardtops im thinking about buying are either gpw, silver, or suzuka so i'll have to get it repainted.

color match it. you just have to deal with scratches/swirls on black...just another thing that will bother you.

Do what you want, but my personal opinion is that yellow looks TERRIBLE with a body matched hard-top. Not to mention that Rio is a REALLY hard color to match even for body shops.

I personally would definitely go with black (doesn't really matter what kind since the car is not black) if I were to go for a hard top.

Hi. I'm new here. Just bought a 2005 Sebring Silver S2000 with red/black interior with 13,000 miles. I plan on getting a HT this fall. I want to color match the HT to my car. I've seen some new unpainted HT going for about $2,000. Most new painted ones seem to run near $3,000.

How much does a good paint job for the HT usually run for an OEM color?

Thanks!

Difficult to color match...maybe. I was in the same predicament. I decided to color match and it turned out great! The top is far enough away from the rest of the body that you really can't see any differences. I thought about black and then I saw some pictures of rio with black and it didn't do it for me. Good luck with your decision.
