Painting a HARDTOP
I think this decision comes down to what wheels you will have ont the car. If you want to do a Rio car, Rio top and white wheels that would look ok. Rio car, black top, and black wheels would look good to. For me yellows and reds are the hardest colors to match. No matter how long you spend mixing the paint its always a little off.
Any nice gloss or semi gloss would look good. It would also be a little easier in the long and short term.

I personally would definitely go with black (doesn't really matter what kind since the car is not black) if I were to go for a hard top.
