Why do the seats cost 4k a piece from the dealer. Don't mean to hijack but its been buggin me for a while as to why S2k seats costs so much. My current understanding is that they're made by Recaro and come in some 40+ piece that need to be assembled by a Honda technician. Is there something special about thi seats or the material they're made of?
Porsche owns Recaro. Need I say more?

I thought the debate about "who makes S2000 seats" still has not come to a conclusion? i.e. no one knows whether it's a rumor or truth

Nonetheless, I don't believe the driver's seat on buses or older golfs would cost 4K just because they are made by Recaro.

I wonder how much A4 seats cost, since those are made by Recaro ... no?
