Thumbs up PDR Driver Side Quarter Panel

How would one of the PDR shops access the driver side quarter panel to remove a dent? Specifically the dent is located about 7 inches left of the gas door, above the body line/crease. I have a very faint vertical line about 2.5 inches tall located in this area (the dent does not touch the body line/crease).

The car is not even 2 months old... If only people were more careful

They should go in between the metal and the soft top bin - no drilling through the door well is required. I've had two dents pulled in that area already - the metal seems very weak vs acorns falling from trees...

Hey Saki GT, so you're saying that section can be accessed from inside the cabin, behind the driver seat with the top up?

Thanks!

My PDR guy went in top down, between the molding and the sheet metal.

Saki GT. did he remove the black molding around the quarter panel? I just took a look at mine w/ the top down... looks like a tight fit!

It sucks, if you inspect this area and apply some/little pressure, there is noticeable flex in the body. It does not have much resistance if something was to bump/hit it. Plus, my integra was exactly same!!! Dent Doctor made some money off me with my integra! I can't stand dents (on my cars)... it's all I end up seeing... AND I park in BFE!!! Once I KNOW it's there, all I can do is look at it everytime I pass by my car

Thats awsome that they don't have to make any holes... I'm not down with holes being made in my car.

All I know is he slid a slimjim type thing in and started working the dent out. I know some PDR people drill holes in the door jam, and I want to make you aware that a skilled PDR guy won't do that.

I visited Dent Doctor this morning. They quoted me $125 and said it would take about an hour. He was concerned that access to the dent may be hard. He said he would remove the tail light and trunk lining and see if there is clearance but noted that the gas door/tank could be in the way. I informed him about Saki GT access with the top down. He said it could be possible (I know it is THANKS to Saki GT) and will have to look at it. He told me they are able to repair the Mercedes SL or SLK this way as well. He went on and showed me (if it came down to it) where they would have to tap a whole to gain access. Either in the fender well, or preferably in the door jam. I refuse to have a whole tapped.

Could the dent be pulled with a plunger?
