Default Peeling paint

Just discovered peeling paint on my formula red 2001. It is peeling off both front quarter panels just behind the light assemblies ON BOTH SIDES. Never bumped anything. Drop hood as instructed. No other paint damage on car. Anyone else have the same problem?

From the number of past posts on this topic, I would say this is not an uncommon problem. You might try a search for more info on how others have handled the problem. I think a trip to your dealer would be in order, for sure.

Had the same problem here...but the paint was peeling off where the front bumper meets the front fenders, between the headlights on both sides. I just took it to the dealer and they fixed it up for me under warranty

Glad too see this is a common problem and not my car only. Since it seems to happen often, the dealer should pay. Question is, does honda know this is a problem and is trying to correct it on future versions. thanks everbody

I'm sure it has been discussed before, but there is a part change sometime during MY 2001. The bumper on the newer models have a "tab" that keeps a gap between the fender and bumper. On the older models the bumbper can touch (and therefore rub) against the fender and cause the paint to peel.
