Maybe I'm selfish, but I'm glad not too many people know about the S2000, or there would be even greater demand and higher prices, plus its unique looks would become all too common.

"I didn't know Honda made a sports car" is the typical comment. Anyone who can't distinguish an S2000 from a Z3 or SLK knows nothing about cars and their opinions (unless favorable) don't count, IMO.

I did have a guy at a gas station ask me if my car was the new BMW Boxster. I really didn't know how to answer that so I just sort of mumbled something and drove off.

If my S2000 starts getting confused with a Z3 though I think I'd just as soon bury it in my backyard.

Interesting, so I am not the only one that have the "confusion" problem. One of the reason I get S2K is because it is in limited production by Honda. You wouldn't see another S2000 every 10 minutes.

I get asked almost daily "what kind of car is that?". I have also heard my car referred to as either a Porsche, BMW, and Miata
It does happen more frequently since putting on Rick's S badges. Every time my wife is with me when I get asked what kind of car I'm driving, she mutters under her breath "Subaru" or "Suzuki".

I mostly get, "What kind of car is that? It's beautiful, who makes it?" When I proudly identify it as a Honda, people are dumbfounded. I then launch into a monologue on its superiority to all sports cars within a small fortune of its selling price.

I've heard the following. . .

"Is that the new Benz?" (from some guy on the street)

"Will you be trading in your porsche?" (From an Acura Dealer, when I went to look at an NSX) WTF!!

"Honda makes that??!?!" or "That's a Honda??!?!" which is usually followed by "So, how much?". . . Followed with "You payed $35.5K for a Honda?!?!" (people have so much to learn)

"That's smaller than a Miata" (As if)
