Losing the functionality of the soft top to save 50 lbs on a street-driven S2000 is like the stupidest thing, ever.

Its not so bad I pulled mine aswell and used a scale to weigh everything. Its only about 44-45 pounds off. 50 if you take the metal brackets out that were used to hold the motors. It is hard to take the hardtop off alone but if your strong like me you can set the whole thing on top by yourself fairly quick. The hard part is getting the clips to lock in lol.

Unless you live in Arizona, you better carry a tarp if you remove the soft-top and are running without a HT. Keep the soft-top and add a HT and you have the best of all worlds IMO.

Im hard core! I bought a Mugen CF hardtop (31lbs) took out my softtop and motors (60lbs)

Now Im basically 30lbs lighter and a hell of a lot more aerodynamic! Also Its quieter in the cabin and better looking also holds warmth in better in the winter

Im 6'3 & I only weigh 205
plus I managed to shave 30lbs off the S in 6 hours; I cant imagine anyone safely losing 44lbs (random # by the way) in less than a month safely...

Leave the soft top in... keeping track of all the soft top parts is easier if you leave them in the car. you can still throw a jacket of a couple of hats on top of the folded top if you need to.

I really can't imagine leaving the top up on my car all year.
