I agree with the car detailing thing... I am going to do that in addition to full time job this summer... Hopefully I can save s/c or turbo money... but right now turbo just looks like way more than I wanna spend at this age... Good turbo set up $9,000/THEN you have to start rebuilding the backend (trans/clutch/differential/drivetrain) I figure somewhere around $15,000 to get it good... But anyways, working full time in summer, part time during school year, I am hoping to bring in aroun 8,000-10,000 after taxes... that is if I work VERY hard at the right job.

I just turned 22 and work part time selling Craftsman tools here in canada. We work straight commision here (apparently in the states its hourly?) so we make very good money. Paying for the car is not the problem.... putting tires on the damn thing is where all my money goes

I'm 18 turning 19 at the end of May and my payments are $0. I own it without parental support and pay my own isurance. However, my parents pay for college so I do have parental support (just not with the car). I just work really hard (ever since I was 14) and save. I have had a part-time job during the school year and at least 2 jobs in the summer. Just need to be smart with money and have a strong work ethic. I also bought the car used.
