daveeppy,

Aside from the fact that I hate the Startac and will get rid of it when my contract is up, the installation is a Pioneer kit designed to work with their high-end head units. It mutes the stereo when a call comes in and sends the speaker's voice through the sound system. But because of the StarTac it doesn't work very well.

I'm going to go with one of the Bluetooth phones as soon as they're out and remove this thing. The Bluetooth system enables you to hide the phone away altogether (say, in the trunk) and make and receive all of your calls using a wireless headset with a Bluetooth-equipped voice-activated phone.

I hate the StarTac. I must have been sold a lemon. The thing shuts off mysteriously about half the time I make a call, even with the battery fully charged. I should send it back for repair or replacement, but I'm just going to wait for a Bluetooth phone.

Rick-

It looks like you replaced the red OEM carpet with black. Did you do that yourself? What did the carpet cost? Is there a discounter on the web who sells the OEM carpet? Was it a difficult job?

Rick,

As you know, I have been searching the world over for extremely high quality wool carpet to replace my crappy OEM with (I called Wilton and they were much less than helpful). I assume that you just ordered the 3 piece OEM fitted carpet shells... correct? I thought about changing mine to black because asx far as aftermarket goes, black has many more vendors/options.

Would you have a US source for high-end red wool carpet (preferably with a little higher pile than our stock carpet)?

Please help me!!!
