Getting my rear speakers installed on Wed along with the PIAA 004X's that I treated myself to for Christmas.

After shinning up my ride this morning I was "test placing" the 004's and I realized they are a bit too fat to fit in front of the Costal Metals center grill screen, where I was initially planning on placing them.

Upon further thought, and in keeping with the all black look I'm now thinking about having them put behind the grill screen.

Has anyone here done that?

How does the light show through the screen and are you happy with the placement?

I saw Airgate's excellent mod of putting them "inside" the screen but I'm not sure how that would look on an all black.

Any info is appreciated.
