Picked up this 03 GPW AP1 from my Cousin a few weeks ago... He moved out of the country and practically gave it to me. Im not quite sure what to do with it... i may flip it. It has 131k miles, new soft top, bone stock with the exception of the seibon cf trunk lid and airwalker lip.

First order of business was to do a thorough clean up. I power washed the under carriage, swapped the trunk lid back to the original GPW, polished the headlights and swapped those hideous AP1 wheels to my stock AP2V3 that came off my 08 AP2.

Again im undecided on what to do with it... flip it or fix it up and keep it simple.

Here is what I want to do while i have it for now.

-Repaint GPW Bumper and Install OEM AP1 Lip
-Motul 300v Synthetic Oil Change
-Ballade Sports Timing Chain Tensioner
-Honda MTF Transmission Fluid
-Motul Rear Diff Fluid
-New OEM Spark Plugs
-K&N Drop in Intake

Modifications:
-KW ClubSports
-CE28 or RPF1 Wheels
-Hankook V12 RS3 255/40/17

 

Please definitely get rid of that Airwalker lip...ugh.

Yes, i am not a fan of the lip and it's definitely coming off however my main priority is getting her running in tip top shape. The TCT definitely needs to be changed since it's making that annoying card/spoke noise.

After thats taken care of she's going into the body shop.

After the body work/paint i will evaluate. If i can get $13-15k out of it i'll sell.

Yeah i'll have Ballade Sports take a look at that... Car runs strong but you would never know.

Compression Check and Leak Down on the list.

 

It will look so hot with an OEM front lip and a slight drop

Maybe 13 if ur lucky . Def not getting 14 or 15 for an ap1 with 131k on it. U can get ap1 with 60k for around 14k

 

I still think 13 is pushing it. I think for 13 you can buy an ap1 with 80-90k. I'm thinking 9-11.
