No, the yellow used from 2001 - 2003 is called Spa Yellow Pearl.

The yellow used for the 2004's is called Rio Yellow Pearl. They're both pearl colors.

$23k isn't unreasonable for a hand me down. My oldest is 6 years old and I don't see anything wrong with blowing $25k on a car for him in ten years. Now this is assuming he is a good kid.

Now on the bimmer forums, you see plenty of daddy bought $60k M3s which is excessive.

Anyways, congrats. She is a great first car.

I would not buy my teenager an M3 even if he was the best kid ever. I barely have the maturity to handle the one I had.

I wouldn't even get him an S2000. My kids are gonna hate me. His/her first car will NOT be a sports car in any way shape or form.

Easy, just tell anyone that asks that it was a Spa Yellow that won the B Stock SCCA National Championship in 2003. It also won in BSL.
