You'll love it. 16,000 miles is practically brand new. The '01 is the last "real" S2000 with a plastic rear window and lighter car.
Check the oil at every gasoline fill up. Read the manual. Run OEM SO-2 tires. If there's something else on the car, get the original. If you've got more than 8,000 miles on the rears or 16,000 miles on the fronts, consider new tires. It is good collision insurance.
