Default Picking up new S2k TONIGHT!!

I should be picking up my S2k TONIGHT!!!

I'm very excited - I should be heading over to the dealer tonight at 7:30pm to take delivery of my new S2k.

After working on my 1999 C230K for over 4 years, it has been sad to see it being parted out and returned to stock, but part of that sadness has been dampened by the excitement of the arrival of the new ride.

I've been browsing this forum a bit, and am quite enthused by everyone here. Though I don't know any of you personally, I'll try to make the effort to attend some of the gatherings in the SoCal area.

I've been talking to wantone's brother Justin about the S2k for a while now as I had met him over 2 years ago, and I look forward to what the car can offer me.

So as I count the hours until I get off work and head to the dealer, I'd like to say "Hi" to you guys and introduce myself - my name is Luwin and I'm in the LA area. I work as a patient counselor in an opthalmologist's/laser refractive surgeon's office in Beverly Hills, and live in West LA. 23 y/o, graduated from UCLA in psychology and public policy. Looking forward to meeting y'all, and will post pics once I get the car!!

Welcome aboard and have a blast with your new toy. The Stook has a personality no other car can touch.

Hey Luwin welcome. Let us know about the car when you get it.
REMEMBER:
1. Under 600 miles, do not go over 5500 RPM's in any gear.
2. Do not VTEC for at least the first 600 miles.
3. Go easy on the brakes so your rotors will break in (600 miles)
4. Check your oil at each fill up as you may use some during B/I
5. Most of all...have fun! -Ken

im so glad u got rid of the c class. It's equivalent to a 318 bmw. IMO it sucks so bad, great choice in choosing a great car in the s2000.

Awww, man - why you have to be dissing my C-class? I wouldn't say it "sucks so bad," and is "equivalent to a 318 bmw." My C230k was making 250hp at the crank from its 2.3L supercharged-4, with torque up there as well. Far cry from a 318 bmw. I think that the S2000 is indeed a great car, but I don't think that my C-class sucked. It was a great car in its own right - different category than the S2k. It can do things that the S2k can't, and the S2k can do things that the C-class can't conversely.

With that aside, I am proud to announce that the new car is safe in the garage. It's a 2003 Silverstone with black interior, front and rear factory spoilers, 14 miles at delivery.
