Well, our car is no longer an autocross virgin... only 6 days old, and it already had three drivers at an autocross, won FTD, PAX overall, and had an off-course excursion... It was my last run and I was trying really hard to get into the 52's (I had a 53.180 best at that point). The result is what you see below.

Everything OK?

Getting sideways...

Headed off course!

DOH!!!

Notice the bits of grass flying as I turn to get back on the pavement.

This is what happens the first time you try to autocross an S2000! I straightened the wheel and went into the grass to make sure I didn't hit the grass sideways. I didn't want to flip a 6 day old S2K that I'm not the sole owner of!

I was still pleased at the result... I've never turned FTD at an autocross before! And there was a trophy winner from FS at Nationals there ('99's FS ProSolo champ.) and I beat him on both raw time and index (took index overall.) And I was still on street tires!

Just wait until we get this thing set up next year... And I learn to keep it on course!

Yep... the engine had over 1000 miles when we autocrossed it. Drove it all week long knowing we'd be autocrossing it the following weekend!

Good job Jason! Congrats on the FTD!

My cars first cone marks and off course came from a friend who was co-driving and hit 5 cones in one shot as he left the course.

Were you wanting to plant some taters or what?

Play like me and one day maybe you too can discover just how handy that tow hook really is!

Where was the autox? Was it a TSSCC event?

Congrats, btw!
