Pin stripping
Actually I have one on mine
it's grey and small (maybe 1 inch high and 3 feet long going from near the middle of the door to the middle of the rear fender) and it looks exactly like the one on the mugen type-r with 3 bars and the words mugen
so ..
------------------- [] [] [] mugen
where [] [] [] is 3 verticle bars red silver and bronze
it matches my 18" bronze volk racing rims
the pin stripe grew on my and actually I get a lot of compliments

I applied a double-red pin stripe and it looked quite snappy. They also provide extra protection. When I crashed, I felt the pin-striping hold me firmly in place. I will provide post-collision photos soon. Nothing sets off the fine lines of a demolished S2K as well as crumpled red stripes on a silver base. If the car is totalled, I intend to mount the wreck and sell it as a sculpture. I suspect it will quickly bring six figures, which will finance my class action litigation.

I wasn't considering putting a pin strip. I just want to know if anyone out there had tried it, and what did it look like? Just curious! the responses are pretty clear, few have tried, many feel its crazy. GaToR
Gators1,
You bring up one of the few sore points in my dealer buying experience.
As background, I purchased every dealer option available including those that I did not install on the car but am keeping in boxes for posterity. I paid MSRP for the car plus MSRP and labor(where applicable) for all the dealer options.
The dealer had a forced option, Pinstriping, (which thankfully were not yet put on the car) for $180 that I did not want and told the salesman so. The salesman did the whole routine of going to his service manager and coming back to me and saying I had to take the pinstripes. I then got up from the salesman's customer chair and walked over and into the sales manager's office. I identified myself as the person buying the S2000 with every available Honda-approved dealer option so he was making plenty of profit on me but there was no way my car was going to be pinstriped so I wasn't going to pay $180 for something I didn't want.
The sales manager said he would knock $30 off the $180 pinstriping charge if I wasn't going to take it.
WTF???!!!
Needless to say when I demanded an explanation he gave me some wishy washy double talk but the bottom line was that $150 was his profit for pinstriping and he was going to make this money whether I actually had it done or not.
This is the one thorn in my side about my buying experience that I haven't forgotten.
So, Net/Net: I paid $150 to avoid pinstripes!
