I think that some chrome reverse rims with baby moon hub caps would set the pin striping off just right! Oh yeah, and lots of decals.

Check the secret compartment. They probably put the pinstripes in there in case you need them later.

You should have negotiated better. Perhaps you could have agreed to pay him $75 for not pinstriping your new S2000 if he agreed to having you pay him another $75 for not doing paint sealant too. Or you could have asked him to only paint seal the non-existent pinstripes.

Two scams I hate. Actually, undercoating is the worst because it actually accelerates corrosion on many cars.

I'd avoid any dealer that routinely adds any of the three.

My favorite dealer pak is "advertising and floor plan" where they actually add a per vehicle charge for their advertising and for the interest they carry on their inventory. At least they are honest enough to say right on the add on sticker, "we're gouging you and here is how."

I don't like pinstripes, either; however, if we follow your logic then no one should be adding wings, chin spoilers, etc.

Aren't the wings and chin spoilers options designed by Honda? I don't remember official Honda pinstripes showing up in the options manual.

I got it on my silver S. Its red to match the interior. Looks fine to me. I kinda like it. Its not BRIGHT RED a more subdued color. Though I have seen it on red, black, white, all of which looks like holy hell! Only the silver it kinda does work.
If your at S2K Days you can check it out along with the vulger language engraved on the side of the car.
