I think the Muz product does not require a base; it just mounts onto the glove box lid. That may no longer be the case.
Yes, that's the case. It's a solid mount so the screen will not fold down.

I really want a fold down one, prices range from $110 Aus (non in stock)
195 to $225 US, $800 New Zealand (in stock) .

Will have to chase to USA ones for a price somewhere.

Ebay for a couple of weeks might be a go

Don't forget to include shipping and any custom/tax if you are comparing "local" vs. importing it from outside your country (such as from the US). Sometimes it is worth it to pay a little more to buy locally instead of importing it. You may also want to check your local wrecking yard to see if they have a crashed S2000, it is very easy to remove the aero screen (just two screws). Good luck.

We have not discontinued our screens. Don't know where that came from. Most people find th efactory screen ineffective. The 1 Piece 7/8 Screen does not suffer from vibration and is available from my site in clear or tinted versions.

We also do BMW Z3 screens. These are a slightly different shape. You might want to check them out for fit on the SLK before comitting yourself. Once again they are a taller more effective screen than the factory option.

Looks like the BMW version is foldable, if that is the case, why don't you also do a foldable version for the S2000 (without requiring the OEM base)? And how does the BMW version fit the S2000?

It looks to me that the BMW screen does not fold. Just based on the picture.
